The Matrix Revolutions

Tippett Studio, 2003
Supervisor: Craig Hayes

An early study for the destroyed terrain. Trying to find the tones and details of the environment... Mist swirls around the ragged ground while a lightning strike erupts from toxic clouds. The idea was that light in the dark environment reveals the range of colors reminiscent of a poisonous oily slick, suggesting subtly the degree to which the environment is degraded, hostile and toxic. Unfortunately this never made it into the final effort for the film.
